Bed of Roses

Adam:
Here among a bed of roses,
my love, she first appeared to me.
I felt creation move within my body
and then there was Eve.

I raised my head to gaze at her beauty.
The winds were whispering gently and sweet.
The secret desire of my heart
God has granted to me.

By the light of the dawn
she sings with grace,
wrapped in rose petals
round her face.

By the light of the moon
she awakens the dawn
with love.

Come forth to be admired
beauty so desired
your eyes are full of
starlight and dreams.

Her form is round and tender.
Lips again surrender
to touch, a gift
from heaven to earth.
[Graphic of Eve smelling a rose]
Eve:
Here among a bed of roses,
my love and I appeared to be.
I felt creation move, blow
the breath of life into me.

I turned, his eyes appeared at my shoulder.
He smiled, my heart it melted like spring.
We touched with an embrace
two holy temples united, yet free.

God and the Angels:
By the light of the dawn
they sing with grace,
wrapped in rose petals
round their face.

By the light of the moon
they awaken the dawn
with love.

Come forth to be admired
beauty so desired
their eyes are full of
starlight and dreams.

Their form is strong and tender.
Lips again surrender
to touch, a gift
from heaven to earth.
